Board Members > David Gregory Biography

A veteran public administrator, David Gregory was appointed as Vice Chancellor for Administration and Facilities Development for the Tennessee Board of Regents in May, 1998. In this position he is responsible for overseeing capital outlay and maintenance projects for the 46 TBR university and community college institutions located across the state, as well as the system’s legislative liaison on Capitol Hill.

Gregory is formerly the Director of Government Affairs for Blue Cross Blue Shield. He also held leadership positions in state government and served as Chief of Staff for Governor Ned McWherter and as Chief of Staff for Lieutenant Governor John Wilder.

David is a graduate of David Lipscomb University. He and his wife, Linda, have three daughters.
